SEO Attributes Editor
SEO / Attributes
Update categories, core listing details, and category-specific attributes across multiple listings. This covers two editors in the Bulk Editor sidebar: Listing Details and Category.
Listing Details
Select Listing Details from the Listings group in the sidebar. This editor manages three core fields that Etsy requires on every listing:
Field | Options |
|---|---|
Who made it | I did, A member of my shop, Another company or person |
When was it made | Made to order, various year ranges (2020s, 2010s, etc.), vintage categories |
What is it | A finished product, A supply or tool to make things |
Each listing shows these fields as segmented controls. Select the appropriate value for each listing.
Category
Select Category from the Listings group in the sidebar. This editor lets you change the Etsy taxonomy category for each listing using a hierarchical category picker.
When you select a category, category-specific properties (attributes) appear — like material, color, occasion, or style options that are specific to that product type. Fill in the relevant attributes to improve your listing's discoverability in Etsy search.
Tips & gotchas
Who made it, When was it made, and What is it must all be provided together if you're updating any one of them. You can't change just one and leave the others blank.
Category-specific attributes are different for every Etsy category. Changing a listing's category resets its attributes.
Filling in attributes helps Etsy's search algorithm surface your listings for relevant queries — don't skip them.
You can use presets to apply the same core details and category across all selected listings.
