ListingView Plugin

The ListingView Plugin brings your analytics data directly onto Etsy. As you browse search results, listing pages, and shop pages, the plugin overlays performance badges and detailed metrics right on the page — so you can spot top sellers, trending products, and outliers without ever leaving Etsy.

What you can do with the ListingView Plugin

  • See color-coded performance badges on every listing card as you browse Etsy

  • View monthly and lifetime sales, revenue, trend, and outlier data without opening ListingView

  • Identify high-performing listings and shops at a glance

  • Add listings to your Watchlist directly from Etsy

  • Jump into ListingView's Listing Explorer from any listing for a deeper analysis

  • Customize which badges appear and your preferred trend timeframe

  • Enable or disable the full overlay any time from the plugin popup

Install and get started

  1. Install the plugin from the Chrome Web Store

  2. Click the ListingView icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup

  3. Log in with your ListingView account

  4. Browse Etsy — badges and metrics appear automatically on supported pages

For detailed install steps, see Installing the Extension.

The five badge types

The plugin uses color-coded badges to highlight listings worth paying attention to. A single listing can carry multiple badges — for example, a new listing that's also trending.

Badge

Color

What it means

Trending

Red / pink

Upward sales momentum in the selected timeframe

Outlier

Listing sells significantly more than others in the same shop (e.g., "2.5x Outlier")

Top Producer

Gold

The shop behind this listing is a high-performing seller

Evergreen

Teal

Consistent, steady sales over time

New Listing

Green

Listing was posted within the last 60 days

Hover any badge to see a tooltip explaining what it means and the data behind it.

Where the plugin is active

The plugin activates on Etsy.com wherever listings appear:

  • Search results — badge chips on every listing card

  • Category pages — same badge chips as search

  • Individual listing pages — detailed metrics panel

  • Shop pages — shop-level performance data

It deliberately stays off on Etsy's seller dashboard, Shop Manager, account settings, billing, community forums, and any non-Etsy website.

Settings & preferences

Click the ListingView icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the plugin popup. From here you can:

  • Enable / Disable Plugin — turn the full overlay on or off. When disabled, no badges or metrics appear on Etsy.

  • Badge Settings — toggle each badge type (Trending, Outlier, Top Producer, Evergreen, New Listing) individually. All five are on by default.

  • Trend timeframe — choose 2 months, 6 months, or 12 months for trend data.

  • Show trend percentage with time period — display the timeframe label alongside trend numbers so you always know which period you're looking at.

Settings are saved locally in Chrome's storage and persist between browsing sessions. They don't sync across devices — you'll need to configure each device separately.

Key concepts

  • Badge — A color-coded chip shown on a listing card in search or category pages, flagging a performance signal.

  • Trend — The change in a listing's sales over the selected timeframe, shown as a percentage.

  • Outlier — A multiplier showing how much a listing outperforms the average listing in its own shop.

  • Overlay — The collective term for all data (badges, metrics, tooltips) the plugin renders on Etsy pages.

Tips & best practices

  • Give each Etsy page a moment to finish loading before you expect badges — the plugin fetches data after the page renders.

  • If nothing is showing, make sure you're logged into ListingView and the plugin is enabled.

  • Turn off badges you don't find useful to keep the overlay clean.

  • A stable internet connection keeps the overlay responsive — the data comes from ListingView's servers in real time.

Common questions

The plugin icon is grayed out — what does that mean?
The plugin is disabled or you're on a page where it doesn't activate (like a non-Etsy site). Click the icon and check that the plugin is enabled.

Do I need to refresh the page after changing settings?
Most changes take effect immediately. If badges don't update right away, refreshing the Etsy page will apply your new settings.

Can I sync settings across devices?
Settings are stored locally per browser, so they don't sync automatically. Configure each device separately.

Why don't I see badges on some Etsy pages?
The plugin only activates on standard Etsy.com listing, search, category, and shop pages. It stays off on seller dashboard, Shop Manager, account, and community pages.
