Control the state of multiple listings at once — activate, deactivate, or set them to draft. The State editor in the Bulk Editor manages listing visibility on your Etsy shop.
How to use it
Select State from the Settings group in the sidebar.
Each listing shows a toggle for its current state.
Switch between Active and Inactive for each listing.
Click Publish Listings when ready.
Listing states
State | What it means |
|---|---|
Active | Listing is live and visible on Etsy. Buyers can find and purchase it. |
Inactive | Listing is hidden from your shop. It's saved but not visible to buyers. |
Draft | Listing is a work in progress. Not yet published to your shop. |
Tips & gotchas
Activating a listing makes it immediately visible on Etsy. If you're not ready to sell, keep it as a draft.
Deactivating listings doesn't delete them — you can reactivate them later without losing your listing data, photos, or reviews.
Seasonal products? Deactivate them in bulk when they're out of season, then reactivate them later.
Moving a draft to active publishes it to your Etsy shop. Make sure all required fields (title, description, category, shipping, etc.) are filled in first.
