Running a Search

Type any keyword into the Search Term Analyzer to see how it performs on Etsy. The search modal gives you autocomplete suggestions, your recent searches, and popular terms — so you can jump into analysis quickly.

How to search

  1. Click the search input at the top of the page, or press / on your keyboard to open the search modal

  2. Type a keyword or phrase (e.g., "personalized gift")

  3. Choose from three tabs as you type:

    • Popular — the most commonly searched terms across all ListingView users

    • Recent — your own search history

    • Suggestions — autocomplete suggestions that appear as you type

  4. Press Enter or click a suggestion to run the search

  5. Results load in a two-column layout with metrics, charts, and tables

Navigating from results

Once you have results, you can keep researching without starting over:

  • Search a similar keyword — Click the search icon next to any keyword in the Similar Keywords table to run a new search for that term

  • View a listing — Click any row in the Top Listings table to open it in Listing Explorer

  • Add to Watchlist — Click the star icon on any listing to save it for tracking

  • Deep link — Bookmark or share a keyword search using the URL — it includes the keyword parameter so the search runs automatically when opened

Copying and exporting

  • Copy a keyword — Click any keyword chip in the Similar Keywords table to copy it

  • Copy all keywords — Click Copy all above the table to copy every similar keyword at once

  • Export to CSV — Click Export to CSV above either table to download the data. CSV export requires a paid plan.

Tips

  • Re-searching a keyword you've already looked up doesn't count against your monthly limit — revisit past searches anytime

  • Use the / keyboard shortcut to open the search modal quickly from anywhere on the page

  • Start with broad terms, then drill into similar keywords that show strong recommendation scores
