How to use Listing Explorer
Search for a listing — Paste an Etsy listing URL or just the listing ID into the search bar. Autocomplete suggestions appear as you type, so you can jump straight to what you're looking for.
Watch the results come in — Data loads progressively — you'll see the listing image, title, price, and key badges (like Bestseller or Outlier) right away. Performance metrics and deeper analytics fill in as they're ready, so you can start exploring immediately.
Check the performance metrics — The Listing Cards give you the numbers that matter at a glance: sales, revenue, monthly performance, and more. Hover over any card to see how it's calculated.
Explore the analytics chart — The time-series chart shows sales trends over time. Switch between Last 30 days, Last 60 days, All time, or set a custom range to spot seasonal patterns or long-term growth.
Review SEO scores — See how well the listing follows marketplace best practices with a composite score broken down by Title, Tags, Photos, and Description. These scores are a great benchmark when optimizing your own listings.
Dig into the tags — The Tags Table is where it gets really interesting. Every tag the listing uses is shown with its Opportunity Score, Competition Score, Demand Score, and more. Sort by any column to find the strongest keywords, copy individual tags, or export the full table to CSV.
See the shop behind the listing — The Shop Overview panel shows the shop's name, location, and key stats like total and monthly sales and revenue. Click the shop name to jump into Shop Analyzer for a deeper look.
Discover related listings — Scroll down to the carousels for Similar Listings and New Listings in the same category. These are great for understanding your competitive landscape — click any one to open it in Listing Explorer.
Save what matters — Click the star icon on any listing or shop to add it to your watchlist. Organize saved items into folders so you can revisit them anytime.
Revisit past searches — Your search history is always available. Check the Popular tab for your most-viewed listings or Recent for your latest lookups. Re-searching something you've already looked at doesn't count against your usage.
Share your findings — The URL updates automatically with the listing ID. Copy it and send it to anyone — they'll see the same analysis you do.
Key concepts
SEO Score
A composite measure of how well a listing is optimized across title, tags, images, and description. Higher scores mean better alignment with what drives visibility and sales on Etsy.
Outlier Score
A proprietary 0–100 rating that shows how much a listing over- or under-performs compared to its category average. High scores mean the listing is punching well above its weight.
Conversion Rate
The percentage of views that turn into sales. A higher rate means the listing is doing a great job of turning browsers into buyers.
Estimated Revenue
How much a listing has earned based on its price and confirmed sales. Shipping revenue is tracked separately.
Competition Score
How crowded a tag is (0–100). Higher means more sellers are competing for it; lower means there's more room for you.
Demand Score
How much real buyer interest a tag attracts, based on search frequency and actual sales. Higher is better.
Opportunity Score
The sweet spot: tags with high demand and low competition. This is usually the best single metric for choosing which tags to use.
Tips & best practices
Start by studying a competitor. Search for a top-performing listing in your niche and use its SEO scores and tag strategy as a benchmark for improving your own.
Sort tags by Opportunity Score, not search volume. High volume doesn't guarantee sales. Opportunity Score balances visibility with realistic conversion potential.
Watch Outlier Scores over time. If a listing's score drops unexpectedly, it could signal new competition or algorithm shifts worth paying attention to.
Export your tag data. Download the Tags Table as a CSV and cross-reference it with your own keyword research to validate which tags are actually working.
Use watchlists to track changes. Save competitor listings and check back regularly. Shifts in their tags, pricing, or SEO scores can reveal important marketplace trends.
Common questions
Why do results load progressively?
Speed. You get the most important info (overview, sales, revenue) immediately, while deeper analytics load in the background. No waiting around.
Can I export all the data I see?
You can export the Tags Table to CSV. Other sections like Listing Cards, Analytics, and SEO Scores are designed for in-app use.
Does looking up a listing multiple times count against my limit?
Nope. Re-searching a recently viewed listing is free, so feel free to revisit and monitor listings as often as you like.
What's the difference between Competition Score and Opportunity Score?
Competition tells you how crowded a tag is. Opportunity goes further by combining competition with demand — so you find tags people are searching for that aren't oversaturated. Opportunity Score is the better pick for tag strategy.
How is Estimated Revenue calculated?
It's the listing price multiplied by confirmed sales. Shipping fees and transaction costs aren't included in the base number but are shown separately where available.
Can I share a listing analysis with my team?
Yes! Just copy the URL from your browser — it includes the listing ID. Anyone with the link sees the same results.
