How to use the Database
Start with a search — Type a keyword, product name, or niche idea into the search bar at the top of the dashboard. ListingView instantly returns matching results from across the marketplace. You can search single words or multi-word phrases.
Pick your tab — The dashboard has several tabs that let you slice the data differently:
Listings — Browse all matching listings with performance data
Shops — See the shops behind those listings
Keywords — Explore the keywords driving traffic to those listings
Outliers — Listings that dramatically outperform their shop's average — the hidden gems
Trending — What's gaining momentum right now
New — Recently listed products, great for spotting emerging trends early
Change your sales timeframe — Use the timeframe selector to toggle between 7 days, 1 month, 2 months, 6 months, 12 months, and all time. Your Sales, Revenue, and Trend columns update instantly. This is one of the most powerful features on the dashboard — want to find products trending right now? Switch to 7 days. Want to see what sells consistently? Switch to 12 months or all time.
Sort and filter your results — Click any column header to sort by that metric. Use the table presets for quick filtering — like seeing only listings added in the last 30, 60, or 180 days. Combine sorts and filters to zero in on exactly what you're looking for.
Customize your columns — Click the column settings icon to choose which data points you see. There are 35+ available columns including tags count, favorites, date listed, conversion rate, price, views, and more. Drag columns to reorder them. Your choices are saved across sessions.
Switch between table and grid view — Table view is ideal for comparing numbers side by side. Grid view gives you a more visual, card-style layout that makes it easier to scan through listings quickly. Try both and see which fits your workflow — you can switch anytime.
Scroll sideways for more data — There's a lot more data to the right of what you see initially — tags, categories, price history, and more. Hold Shift and scroll with your mouse wheel to scroll horizontally and see the full dataset.
Click through for deeper analysis — Every listing and shop in the database is clickable. Click a listing to open it in Listing Explorer for a full performance breakdown. Click a shop name to open it in Shop Analyzer. Click a keyword to search it in Search Term Analyzer.
Save what catches your eye — Click the star icon on any listing or shop to add it to your Watchlist. Organize saved items into folders so you can come back to them later without searching again.
Key concepts
Table Presets — Pre-built filters that let you quickly narrow results by timeframe or listing status. Use these to jump straight to the data you care about without manually configuring filters every time.
Outlier Listings — Listings that perform significantly above their shop's average. A listing marked "25x" generates 25 times more sales than the average listing in that shop. Outliers are often the best products to study when entering a new niche.
Trend Percentage — The percentage change in a listing's or shop's performance compared to the previous period. Positive trends (green arrows) indicate growth; negative trends (red arrows) indicate decline. This is especially useful when comparing 7-day vs. 30-day performance.
Tips & best practices
Compare timeframes to separate real demand from seasonal spikes. If a product looks great at 7 days but flat at 12 months, it might be a temporary trend. If it looks strong across all timeframes, you've likely found something with staying power.
Start with the Outliers tab. These are the products that overperform relative to their shop — studying them tells you what's resonating with buyers in a way that raw sales numbers alone can't.
Use the New tab to spot trends before everyone else. Recently added listings that are already gaining traction are often early signals of where the market is heading.
Customize your columns once and forget about it. Spend a few minutes setting up the data points you care about most. Your layout saves automatically, so every future session starts exactly how you want it.
Don't just look — click through. The database is your research starting point, but the real insights come when you open a listing in Listing Explorer or a shop in Shop Analyzer and dig into the details.
Common questions
How many listings are in the database?
The database contains over 36 million Etsy listings and is growing continuously. New listings, shops, and keywords are added regularly.
Can I export data from the database?
You can export the listings table to CSV from the database view. Click the export button above the table to download the current filtered and sorted results.
Do my column and filter settings save?
Yes. Your column selection, order, and layout preferences are saved to your account and persist across sessions.
What's the difference between the Listings tab and the Outliers tab?
The Listings tab shows all matching listings sorted by whatever column you choose. The Outliers tab filters specifically for listings that dramatically outperform their shop's average — these are the standout products worth studying in detail.
Can I use the database on mobile?
ListingView is designed for desktop browsers. The database tables and multi-column layouts work best on a larger screen.
